No. 242009.5.19
Hi there, it's Uchida.
Maybe because winter was warm this year, I felt that spring came earlier than usual.
Even around the Future Lab, it's only May, but it's been already as warm as toast to make you sweat.
I'll start to worry if the temperature keeps going higher and higher at this rate, it'll be over 50°C when it gets to December.
Let's leave aside such a classic story...
Did you know that something is displayed on the lower part of the screen on the Wangan Maxi 3DX title at your nearest arcade?
Lower part of this screen...
↑This one. "Ver.C" is displayed under the "namco" logo mark.
If you thought, there wasn't any display like this around the time of the release setup last year, was there?, then you are quite a Maxi fan.
In the software with "Ver.C" display, the version's been upgraded a little bit.
The primary improvement in this version upgrade is a change in levels:
When you select
"Select game mode"
↓
"Ghost Versus Battle Mode"
↓
"Select by level"
In the previous version, there were 4 levels: "Beginner," "Advanced," "Expert," and "Challenge the top player!"
In the upgraded version, there are 10 levels: "Level 1," "Level 2,"....."Level 8," "Super hard," and "Challenge the top player!"
The most important point within this change is the presence of "Super hard."
We received many requests in the Opinion Box going "Please bring back "Super hard" as in Wangan Maxi 3," and we thought we've got to do something about this. So, we finally brought back that level in this upgrade!
For your information, the following two conditions are required to have "YOUR LEVEL" displayed under "Super hard":
▪ Having 34 tuning gages. (825 horsepower/DG setting available)
▪ The number of outruns in Ghost Versus Battle exceeds 100.
Compared with Wangan Maxi 3, those conditions are a little loose, aren't they?
Another improvement in this version upgrade is the famous "sitcker" which provoked considerable discussion within the Wangan Maxi project team.
This is between us, but I'm personally with Mr. Takenaka's faction that says "Leave it as sitcker. Sitcker is even funnier."
These are small improvements, but I hope they'll help you guys have more fun with the games...that's what I think about these days.
Well, I'll finish up here this time.
See you around.
